    Special Construction Profiles

  • The designers paid special attention to the tensions which occur over hundreds and thousands of repeated sliding movements of the segments, at both high and low temperatures, using materials with high thermal expansion. For years we have been improving the mechanism used to secure enclosures in strong winds and the top-quality automatic anchoring system. The materials and techniques used enable the building of swimming pool enclosures up to 13,5m wide (internal width of the smallest segment). The length of the structures is unlimted
  • Our aluminium comes from renowned aluminum presses, mainly SAPA Aluminum (Sweden, our main supplier), YAWAL Czestochowa (Poland) and Alufinal (Slovakia). These companies guarantee that our aluminium profiles are always of the highest quality and that the dimensions of each wall of a profile are perfectly uniform. This means that our profiles offer maximum durabilty with minimum thickness and optimum aesthetic qualities.
  • The aluminium profiles are fully anodized or powder painted (according to the RAL palette). The producer (SAPA) holds an ISO 9002 certificate. Because of the technical facilities available, the longest profiles are anodized in France or Germany to ensure that the surface is perfectly uniform.
  • Profiles from SAPA have a Qualicoat certificate – Quality Label for Coating on Metal for Architectural Applications (Qualicoat is also an Association for Quality Control in the Lacquering, Painting and Coating Industry)

Qualicoat is a quality label organisation committed to maintaining and promoting the quality of lacquering, painting and coating on aluminium and its alloys for architectural applications. To determine whether or not a coating meets a customer’s requirements, the results need to be measurable against technical specifications. On behalf of customers who have products coated, Qualicoat defines comprehensive quality requirements and monitors their compliance by licensed plants world-wide. As a result, purchasers of coated aluminium receive a premium-grade product delivering long-term value with good quality. In past years Qualicoat has consequently made a great contribution to assuring the quality of aluminium parts used in architecture.

Customers receive coatings that meet a clearly defined quality standard with long-term performance.

    Anchoring Enclosures to the Ground

  • Each enclosure is anchored to the ground using an extremely strong and robust system. The system uses a quick-release device which requires very little effort to attach and detach.

MATERIALS OF ENCLOSURES

  • The construction is based on specially designed aluminium sections (ALMGSI 0.5/F22 alloy; wall width 1.5-3.0mm). The individual rails and braces in the sections are designed to provide maximum static strength.
  • All joints of the aluminium sections are hidden, so there are no visible joins or rivets.
  • The ground rails are anodized or powder-painted.
  • The aluminium structure is filled out with panels made of twin-walled or triple-walled polycarbonate, which significantly increases the strength of the light construction and ensures better heating and insulation properties (not available when glass is used).
  • 10mm thick polycarbonate is used for a more rigid structure. The sides and ends can be fitted with 4mm material (single-walled, solid polycarbonate) if required. The Riviera and Oceanic models are always glazed with single-walled polycarbonate in the sides and ends.
  • To seal the space between the segments (which is 40mm wide) we use silicon strips. The space between the end wall and the ground is fitted with brushes, which means there is no need to remove the wall when it has to be moved over obstacles (maximum height 150mm). If the pool has elements which are higher than this, the lower section of the end wall can be hinged to enable it to be raised.
  • Normally the maximum length of a segment is 2550mm.

Construction profiles:

  • We use four types of profiles 38x50, 38x60, 60x63 and 60x80mm.
  • The largest aluminium profiles allow construction of enclosures in which the smallest segments are up to 13,5 metres wide.
  • The largest structures use Komfort Grande ground rails (18mm high).
